Single Cell Animation

As Art Director, I led the animation for the Illumina 3' Single Cell RNA Prep workflow product launch, directing the visual style, sound design, and voiceover. I worked alongside a talented team of motion designers, product managers, and producers to bring the vision to life. The goal was to introduce a new single-cell RNA sequencing kit with a video that makes complex science feel accessible and engaging. We crafted a modern, expressive look using 2D animation with dimensional movement, grounded in Illumina’s primary color palette and brand identity. The design balances abstract visuals with technical precision, using a grid-based layout and refined textures to create a piece that is both creative and scientifically accurate.
